Cambridge Institute is the answer to the growing need of evangelical Christians that have a deep desire to study God's Word on a more advanced level. The Institute fulfills the calling of God to train men and women to influence their homes, families, churches, professions, and society for the cause of Christ. The purpose of the institute is to develop a platform (the life of the student) for which the Holy Spirit can minister to the world. 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth".

To aid the development of the spiritual life of the student, Cambridge offers various learning programs designed to help the student develop a well rounded education concerning biblical and religious issues. Lectures, colloquiums (somewhat formal conversations), tutorials, seminars, intensive cores, scheduled classes, and research are the methodologies designed to guide the student in his or her advancement of additive knowledge. The student will be responsible for his or her personal worship, although the Institute will upon occasion offer special services designed to help the student body become of 'one mind and of one accord."

The Institute is exempt in the state of Virginia under section 23-266 of the Code of Virginia which provides exemption as a theological institution and therefore is exempt from the requirement of state approval.
